David Albert Jordan, 71, of Mt. Sterling passed away Friday, November 6, 2009 at Doctors West Hospital in Columbus. He was born July 7, 1938 in Columbus.
Mr. Jordan was a retired welder of Creamer Sheet Metal of London. He attended Mt. Sterling Freewill Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by parents, James and Annie Jordan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Priscilla (Rapp) Jordan; children Albert (Jean) Jordan, Jim (Peggy) Jordan, Nancy (Joe) Gilpen;
4 grandchildren Josh and Danielle Jordan, Brian and Shane Mossbarger; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Denny (Jeanette) Jordan; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
The family would like to share that David lived by 2nd Timothy, Chapter 4-Verses 7 &8 thru all his illnesses and battles of health. “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge shall give me at that day; and not to me only, but unto all them also, that love his appearing”.
A Funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. on Monday, November 9, 2009 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. Densil Wright officiating with the interment following in Madison Mills Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Sunday beginning at 2:00 until 5:00 p.m.
