David McDowell

David McDowell, age 76, lifelong resident of Hilliard, passed away unexpectedly October 12, 2011. He started his career in the family business McDowell Construction Company for many years and then was the Executive Vice President for Huntington Banks in charge of construction. Founder of MACI, Inc. and was currently an appraiser for Franklin County Sheriff’s Department. Former Norwich Township Trustee, member of Franklin County Fair Board and The Full Gospel Businessmen. Hilliard High School Graduate Class of 1953.He was currently a member of the Harvest Assembly of God. Preceded in death by sons Mike and Rick McDowell and mother Helen Kegg. Survived by daughter Micki Shier, son Scott McDowell, daughter-in-law Carol McDowell, grandchildren Pete, Matt and Kati (Riggs) Shier, Ryan, Nick, Sam and Nate McDowell, Kevin and Brian McDowell, former spouse and friend Bettye Pendleton, special cousin and care giver Jody Love, brother Dick McDowell, 4 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of good friends. Family will receive friends Monday 3-7 pm at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME WITH CREMATORY, Hilliard, OH 43026; where memorial service will be held 12 pm Tuesday. Inurnment Sunset Cemetery.
