David D. Lenox, age 70, of Columbus, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. It is with great sadness that we announce that our beloved husband, dad, pop-pop, brother and everyone's friend, has gotten his well-deserved trip to Heaven. He touched the lives of many and for that he will be greatly missed.

Dave graduated from Central High School Class of 1971 where he played baseball.  He retired from Allied Mineral Products after 30 years of service. Dave had a generous heart and enjoyed giving back to the community where he grew up. He was a dedicated Ohio State Buckeye fan and an avid golfer. He loved spending his winters in Florida and enjoyed classic cars; especially his 1955 Chevy that he restored himself.

Preceded in death by parents Lonnie and Wilma Gilkerson.

Survived by loving wife of over 50 years Barbara (Johnson) Lenox, daughters Angie Lenox and Brooke (Adam) Koebel, brothers Mike (Edie) Lenox and Greg (Becky) Gilkerson, grandsons Cameron and Carson Koebel, numerous nieces and nephews, best friend of over 63 years Larry Beck, his Softball Jones Family, Florida “Spanish Lakes” family and many other close friends and relatives.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Capital City Hospice (Crystal) and Dr. Ketki Mougey for all their loving care.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 11am- 1pm at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where funeral service will follow at 1 pm with Pastor Dale George officiating. Interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dave’s name can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude PL., Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
