Dawn L. Chambers, 71 of Columbus, died August 14, 2011 in OSU Medical Center. She was born June 19, 1940 in Mt. Sterling, Ohio.
Ms. Chambers was retired from Chemical Abstract. She was a member of the Columbia Heights United Methodist Church in Galloway and received much love and support from her church family.
Preceded in death by husband, Wayne E. Chambers, daughter Hope A. Houser, parents Ted and Freida (Page) Hillmer, Sr., brother Sonny Hillmer.
She is survived by son, John (Karlena) Chambers, granddaughter Autumn Dawn Chambers, great granddaughter, Ziva, brother Ted (Rachel) Hillmer, Jr., sister Jean (Bob) Franklin; numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces & nephews and friends.
A Funeral service will be held 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY 331 w. Main Street, Mt. Sterling, OH. 43143. Rev. Edwin Lewis officiating the service. Family will receive friends from 1 – 4 pm.
In keeping with Ms. Chambers wishes, cremation has been requested. Burial of her ashes will be in Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Sterling at a later date.
