Dean Conklin

Dean Henry Conklin, died at Edgewater Place, Plain City, OH on June 21, 2016. Born on April 17, 1955 to his loving parents Mary K. (Slyh) and H. Kelly Conklin. Namesake of grandfather Henry Conklin. Loved deeply by his sister Constance (Connie) Conklin Weakley (Douglas) and brother Dr. Ronald K. Conklin (Judy). Proud uncle of Carrie Hickman (Dr. Mark), Kim Beathard (Jake), Kelly Weakley (Lyndsie), Dr. Kevin Weakley, Kyle Weakley (Sunday) and Kent Weakley (Emily), granduncle of Joey, Jack and Callie Hickman, Daniel Beathard, Joshua, Jacob, Maria, Truman, and Teddy Weakley, aunts Barbara Brake (William) and Nancy Conklin, cousins, and special loving friend Renee’ Hoey. “DeanO is Everyone’s Family!” to a host of faithful friends from all over the USA, especially Denver and Chicago. Graduate of Hilliard High School Class of 1973, The Ohio State University (BS ‘77, MS ‘78) in Agricultural Economics, CAE (Certified Association Executive), Life member of The Ohio State University Alumni Association, retired as Veal Executive of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA) for 26 years, located in Chicago and Denver. Active member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, Highlands Ranch, CO. Dean will always be remembered for his positive, cheerful spirit and as “The Best Buckeye Fan Ever!!” Memorial gifts may be given to the Conklin Family/Hilliard Rotary Scholarship Fund, PO BOX 581, Hilliard, OH 43026 or charity of choice. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at James Cancer Hospital and Edgewater Place. Family will receive friends Sunday 4-7 pm at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026. Funeral service will be held 10 am Monday at New California Presbyterian Church, 10089 Co Hwy 1, Marysville, OH 43040. Interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
