Dean E. Salts

Dean E. Salts, age 77, of Hilliard, OH, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017. Survived by his sister Connie Salts of Ft. Collins, CO and brother Roger Salts of Cincinnati, OH, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 42 years, Connie and his parents John and Wilma Salts. Dean was a graduate of Hamden High School in Vinton County, OH; he started in the insurance business but soon became a full-time income tax preparer. He was considered an expert in his profession. Dean was a life-long entrepreneur and an astute businessman. He owned numerous business ventures including several auto sales operations and many years as a real estate agent. Dean became active in the Christian Life Church and spent countless days and hours helping and praying for others. He loved going to The Ohio State University sporting events and dinners. But most of all, Dean was a friend and mentor to many. He will be missed daily by those who were close to him. Calling hours will be 2:00-4:00p.m. SUNDAY at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, OH 43026 (614)-876-1722 where his Funeral Service will be held 11:00a.m. MONDAY, NOVEMBER 13, 2017 with Pastor Frank “Bud” Mulford, officiating. Burial will follow at Alton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Christian Life Church, 221 S. Chillicothe St., Plain City, OH 43026 or to The Ohio State University Foundation, P.O. Box 183112, Columbus, OH 43218 with a designation to The James Cancer Hospital, Ross Heart Hospital, College of FAES or the OSU Alumni Association.
