Delbert G. "Butch" Boyer was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, friend and neighbor. He passed away suddenly September 29, 2023 at the age of 74.
Born to George and Kate Boyer on August 30, 1949, Butch was the oldest of 11 children. He had 8 brothers and 2 sisters. Butch was especially close to his brother,Tom, who preceded him in death and his sister, Ellie (Bob) Nibert. Butch is joining a circle of loved ones who he missed dearly.
Butch was a truck driver for over 30 years serving multiple companies including Coca-Cola and ending his career at the Honda Plant in Marysville, Ohio.
Butch and wife Diana (Palmer) have three children: Charles (Chuck) Boyer with Patty Hysell, Barbara (Rick) Beekman, Penney (Travis) Burns. Butch was blessed with 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren who he was so proud of and he dearly loved.
Butch was a true Notre Dame Football fan, Nascar fan with Rusty Wallace his all time favorite, English bulldog advocate and rescuer, a devoted Elvis Presley fan, and cruising enthusiast. Butch was very grateful and proud that he was able to take each of his children and grandchildren on at least one cruise. He was a long time member of Hilliard Presbyterian Church where he once served as deacon and served on the Marysville ORW mission.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Hilliard Presbyterian Church on October 14, 2023 at 11 AM; Butch was insistent that his life be celebrated and remembered with fun and happy memories. Reverend Katie Kinnison will officiate. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Hilliard Presbyterian Church or the American Diabetes Association are requested.
