Diane Stowe, age 64, of Johnstown, Ohio, departed this earth 4 days shy of her 65th birthday. On June 14, 2007, she passed away peacefully at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Youngstown, Ohio on June 18, 1942 to Paul and Helen (Malice) Baker. She graduated from South High School in Youngstown, Ohio and actively loved and raised her children in Columbiana, Ohio. A Summa Cum Laude graduate of Youngstown State University, she became an integral part of the M Corporation Human Resource department in Westerville, Ohio, which she considered family. She was an extraordinary problem-solver, loved her family deeply, and showed strength from God that was greatly admired. Preceded in death by granddaughter Anna Jenae Robinson, brother Kenneth Rae Baker, and step son Michael Christopher Stowe. Survived by her loving husband Terry A. Stowe, “the girls”- (collie dogs) Hattie and Maize, children Charles “Chuckie” Hoffmaster, Cheryl (Paul) Crouch, Wendy (David) Robinson, Jamie Hoffmaster, step children Benjamin Stowe, Vanessa Stowe, 10 wonderful grandchildren, sister Jeanne Brainard, special niece and nephew Terri Brooks and George Brainard, and many close friends, neighbors, and co workers. Family will receive friends 2:00-3:30 Saturday at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME WITH CREMATORY, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, where a funeral service will follow at 3:30 pm Saturday with pastor Danny Vanscoy officiating. A private graveside service will be held at Alton Cemetery, Prairie Township, OH at a later date.
