Donald McGaughey

Donald F. McGaughey, age 83, of Columbus, passed away Friday December 19, 2008. He was born in Altoona, PA on August 25, 1925. He was a loving and devoted father, member of St. Brendan Catholic Church, graduate of Penn State University, loyal fan of Nitney Lion football, retired from BP America (Standard Oil of Ohio), WWII U.S. Navy Veteran, and former resident of Hilton Head, S.C. He is preceded in death by parents, George and Martha; and siblings, Orval and Helen Wakefield. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Anna Mae; children, Francine (Robert) Still, Diane Scharfstein, David (Penny) McGaughey, Michael (Linda) McGaughey. Mark (Dawn) McGaughey, Denise (Roy) Bauchmoyer, and Matthew (Kandie) McGaughey; grandchildren, Nicole, Kristofer, Sean, Allison, David, Timothy, Patrick, Bryan, Mark, Jennifer, Casey, and Evan; along with one great grandson, Gavin. A Mass of Christian burial will take place 10am Tuesday at St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church 4475 Dublin Rd. Hilliard, OH. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
