Donald L. Myers Sr. our beloved and devoted husband and father went on to be with Our Lord Jesus on 23 September 2018 after a brief hospital stay and operation at Mc Connell Heart Hospital. Don will be remembered for his complete dedication to his family, and the church and especially his wife Fran of 62 years of marriage, his sons including all his in laws.  Don was born and raised in Middletown, Ohio, lived in Cleveland and Columbus as a student at Ohio State University and an Ohio State Senate Page Boy. Don played football at Middletown High School where he was named by the Associated Press All State Honorable Mention 1st Team and University of Arkansas, Pine Bluff University in 1951. A veteran of the United States Army, Don worked for over 55 years in engineering, beginning as a field engineer on Army Atlas Missile Systems in the 1950, to Submarine Trident Missiles Systems in the 1960’s and advancing to and retiring as a Senior Systems Engineer for Lockheed Martin Corporation.  Don always having to stay active became a sole proprietor Barbershop Owner, Mitchellville, MD and in 2003 he became a Real Estate Sales Associate.  Don then went to work in 2008 at Pacific Engineering Inc., his son’s business who he provided engineering and business management support till his departure.  Don was a founding (planter) member 35 years ago of Saint John’s Christian Church Groton, Connecticut. His work in organizing St John’s church finances was instrumental for a successful church loan that allowed St John to expanded from a house into permanent large sanctuary that is their current home.  Don worked relentlessly on numerous church ministries including being the Head of The Publication Ministry at from Full Gospel A.M.E Zion Church, Camp Springs, Maryland.  He is survived by his spouse of 62 years Frances Myers, his brother David Jr., sons Donald, and Dexter, daughters in law, Kyong, Kelly and Tawanna, sisters in law Cookie and Carol, grandchildren, Donald III, Victoria, Alexandria and Dexter, his great grandchildren Latoya, and two great great grandchildren.

Family will receive guests from 10:30a.m.-11:30a.m. WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2018 at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, OH 43026 (614)-876-1722 where his Funeral Service will follow the visitation and begin at 11:30a.m. WEDNESDAY. Pastor Cory DiCarro will officiate the service. Burial with Military Honors will be held at 2:30p.m. WEDNESDAY at Dayton National Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio.
