Dora (Walker) Mayer, June 9, 2011, escorted to heaven by angels to join husband, Richard (Dick) Mayer and son, Richard (Rick) Mayer, Jr, daughter in law Connie Crosby, and many friends and family. Beloved mother of Kenneth Crosby of Columbus, Randy and Roseann Mayer of Hilliard, Cindy and Bruce Velt of Dublin, and Arch and Christine Mayer of Galloway; grandmother of 17 and great-grandma to 16. We’re especially thankful to our cousins, Cathy (Arledge) Hegedus and Danny Sullivan for their love and help over the past year. Proud employee of CITI, she reluctantly retired at age 80. Per mom’s wishes there will be no calling hours and a private funeral. Friends and family are invited to be our guests for her favorite peach pie and ice cream at Der Dutchman restaurant in Plain City on Wednesday June 15 from 7-9 pm in the banquet room.
