Dorothy Bowden

Dorothy M. Bowden, age 73, of Hilliard, formerly of Lakeland, FL entered through the Golden Gates to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 23, 2011 after a long, courageous two year battle with cancer. Retired from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office; long-time member of Lakeland United Methodist Church in Lakeland, FL and attended Hilliard United Methodist Church where she received much love and support. Preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Marjorie Wolford; 4 brothers, and 3 sisters. Survived by loving husband of 51 years, Mark Bowden; son, Mark Bowden Jr.; daughters, Sheila Bowden, and Lisa Collier (Danny); grandchildren, Misty Bowden (Luke), Tosha Collier, Alisha Bowden, Samantha (Don) Reed, and Jeff (Melissa) Bowden; great-grandchildren, Devyn, Randal, Kaleigh, Malik, Keyanna, Dominic, Brooke, Kayla, and Devon; sisters, Chris (Roger) Bearss, Bonnie (Woody) Fox, and Mary Lou (Bill) Seese; along with many nieces, nephews, loving relatives, and special friends in Florida. Family will receive friends from 6-8PM Monday at THE TIDD FUNERAL HOME 5265 Norwich St. Hilliard, OH 43026 where a funeral service will be held 11AM Tuesday with visitation one hour prior to the time of services. Interment Forest Grove Cemetery, Plain City.
