Dorothy Anna King, age 87, of Upper Arlington, born September 18, 1923 passed away peacefully on Friday, February 25 surrounded by her family. She was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wolfe of Columbus. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, David W. King; daughter, Paula Marie Plant; sisters, Martha Whiston and Eleanor Herold. Survived by sons, James W. (Diane) of Ashburn, VA and David E. (Lisa) of Hilliard; son-in-law, Edward Michael Plant (Carol) of Crawfordsville, IN; grandchildren, Jennifer Anne Sayers (Greg) of Bloomington, IN, Nathan, Jeremy, and Christopher King of Hilliard, Danny, Aaron and Kelsie King of Ashburn, VA; 3 great grandchildren, Eli, Nia, and Ian Sayers of Bloomington, IN; special family members, Erin Beth Stott (Andy), Michael Joseph Plant (Brandi), as well as many special nieces, nephews, and dear family friend Charlene Heyl. Dorothy grew up in Clintonville, attended Clinton Heights Lutheran Church and graduated from North High School in 1941 and attended Capital University. Dorothy and David were very involved at Upper Arlington Lutheran Church throughout their life together. Service will be held at UALC at Lytham 2300 Lytham Rd. Friday March 4 at 6pm. Family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the time of service. Pastor Paul Ulring and Pastor Eric Waters will be officiating. Burial will take place Saturday morning for family members and close friends at Sunset Cemetery on Broad St. The family would like to thank Megan, Nancy, Pam, and Trina from Homereach Hospice, and the special friends Dorothy made at Darby Glenn Rehabilitation facility.
