Dorothy Rae

Dorothy Rae, age 92, of Hilliard, passed away January 16, 2023. Graduate of Hicksville Ohio Class of 1948. Dorothy was an active member of the Hilliard Church of Christ. She was a volunteer at Mt. Carmel West Hospital for over 20 years, drove a school bus for the Franklin County Special Needs for 6 years and was a foster parent of 13 children. Preceded in death by husband of 59 years Thomas O. Rae, grandson Joseph Sharp, brothers Loring Beerbower and Herbert Beerbower, sisters Louise Brown and Francis Emanuel. Survived by children Thomas Rae Jr., Patricia (Jeff) Sharp and Lewis (Angie) Rae, sister Kathleen (Gareth) Reese, grandchildren Ben (Monica) Rae, Stephen Sharp and Bethani Rae, great grandchildren Landon, Parker, Arianna and Anthony. Family will receive friends11 am – 12 pm Saturday, January 21, 2023 at the HILLIARD CHURCH OF CHRIST, 4300 Avery Rd., Hilliard, OH 43026; where funeral service will be held 12 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Central Christian College of the Bible, Moberly, Missouri.
