Dr. James (Jim) Joseph Storey, born February 24, 1928, passed away very peacefully July 28, 2014 at Kobacker House. Jim had 86 love-filled years with many family, friends and fairways. He is survived by his loving and devoted companion of 28 years, Judy Slowek, daughters Kathy Baker (Kim) and Jodi Farber (Bob), stepson Jeffrey Slowek, grandchildren Christan Knost (Ben), Hayley Baker (Robert), Bennett James Baker, Tyler James Farber, Erica Bedwell, Belinda Bedwell, Kayla Donahue, Colin Stalker and John Slowek, great grandchildren Isabel and Everett Knost, Paisleigh Middleton and Liam Hoyt, always “his boys” Shane and Jason Eisenhauer and not to be ignored, his beloved dog Reggie. Jim graduated from Aquinas Class of 1945. He was a veteran and recipient of a WWII Victory Medal Army of Occupation. He graduated from the Ohio State University College of Dental Surgery June 27, 1953 and practiced Dentistry in Columbus, Ohio for 48 years retiring in 2001. He also served as a Treasurer for the Columbus Dental Society 1971-74. Second to his love of family and friends was his favorite pastime, golf and Jim enjoyed many years of membership at Scioto Country Club. He had a wonderful life and if there aren’t already fairways in Heaven we are sure he will be trying to talk God into it. Family will receive friends Wednesday, July 30, 2014 from 1-4 pm at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME WITH CREMATORY, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where celebration of Jim’s life will begin at 3:15 pm.
