Durland Workman

Durland Workman, age 84, of Hilliard, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2010. Preceded in death by parents H. Bascom and Lucy Workman and daughter Patricia Workman. A long time member of St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church, active in the Mens club, usher for many years, served on the Festival Committee, St. Vincent DePaul Society, OSU Alumni Association, Waverly High School Alumni Association, Hilliard Republican Club, Honorary Constable of Norwich Township, served as Norwich Township Trustee for 35 years and retired from Frank Gates Service Company. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII. Survived by loving wife of 58 years, Margaret, children, Lou Workman, Lisa Workman, Mark Workman, Suzanne (Ed) Lynch, Michael Workman, and Matt (Krista) Workman, 11 grandchildren, and a host of friends. Family will receive friends 5-8 pm Monday at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026. Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 am Tuesday at St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church, 4475 Dublin Rd., Hilliard, OH 43026 with Father Rodric DiPietro Celebrant. Funeral procession will start at the church. Interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
