Edith Blowers

Edith Blowers, age 86, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2010. Edith grew up in New Jersey and graduated from Rutherford High School in 1941. Her first job was at Colgate in New York City, but most will remember her as the secretary of Britton Jr. High School and the newly-opened Davidson High School in Hilliard, Ohio. Although Edith loved nature and traveling around the world with her husband, her greatest love was being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Blair and grandson Christopher Burkitt. Survived by daughters Holly (Marquis) Menzie, Sharon Blowers and Wendy Burkitt, as well as 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. An eternal optimist, Edith never had an unkind word to say about anyone. Family will receive friends Friday 4-6 pm at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME WITH CREMATORY, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where memorial service will be held 1 pm Saturday with visitation one hour prior.
