Edna Virginia Stith, age 93 of Dublin, OH, died peacefully of natural causes in Grove City, Oh on Feb. 9, 2013. Born Feb. 9, 1920 in Johnson City, TN, raised in Columbus, OH. Edna was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She remained incredibly active and vibrant until age 92. Preceded in death by parents Mott and Evelyn Burleson, husband Robert P. Stith, brothers Gene and Vinnie Burleson. Graduated from North High School and modeled for Lazarus. Employed by Ranco, making binoculars during WWII. Once married, she and Bob lived in TX for 6 years working for El Paso Natural Gas and continued to model. Upon their return to Columbus, Edna worked at Battelle Memorial Institute until 2005, retiring at the age of 85 where she worked primarily in the Employment office. Member of the Northwest United Methodist Church. Edna is survived by son Richard P. Stith (Deborah) and grandchildren Evan and Brian. Also survived by sister Vicki Rangeler, sisters-in-law Laura and Barbara Burleson, several nephews & nieces and their families. Edna was very spiritual, an avid traveler to the Bahamas and FL, and loved to read. She also enjoyed beautiful sunsets, watching cardinals and collecting seashells with her loving sister, Vicki. The family would like to thank the staff of Mary Kelly’s Restaurant in Dublin where Edna enjoyed lunch every Wednesday. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 11am-1pm at The Tidd Funeral Home 5265 Norwich St. Hilliard, OH 43026 where a funeral service will follow at 1pm. Interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Blanton House and HomeReach Hospice RN Anna Grace for their loving care and comfort to Edna in her final months.
