Edward Lantz, Jr.

Edward L. Lantz, Jr., age 88, of Columbus, passed away on November 5, 2022. He was born on April 1, 1934, in Columbus.

Ed retired as a Lt. from Upper Arlington Fire Department after over 30 years of service. He was the former Vice President of the 5^th District OAPFF. He was a member of both the West Gate Masonic Lodge and the Columbia Heights United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Sr. and Helen (Young) Lantz; brother, Jim Willis and sister, Juanita Wenger.

He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Barbara Lantz; son, Victor (Chris) Lantz; daughters, Tammy (Ken) Murray and Karen (Bill) Lane; brother, Chuck (Nancy) Lantz; grandchildren, Nicholas (Emily) Lantz, Ryan (Amanda) Lantz, Brittany (Craig) Hermiller, Patrick (Cheyenne) Lane, Caitlyn (Nathan Brader) Lane and Will (Cailean) Lane; great-grandchildren, Ophelia, Mackenzie, Isabella, Khloe, Harper, Noah, Owen, Camden and soon to be baby girl Lantz.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 10, 2022, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265, Norwich Street, Hilliard, Ohio, 43026, where a funeral service will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway.
