Edwin Hensley

Edwin Eugene Hensley, age 77, of Hilliard, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017. He was a dedicated teacher and school counselor for over 40 years and was a counselor for 32 years at the Hilliard City Schools. He also taught schools in Kentucky, Colorado and Missouri. He received his Bachelors and Masters degrees from Marshall University. Member of Hilliard Presbyterian Church, Hilliard Kiwanis, O.E.A and NEA. Preceded in death by parents Herman Evermint and Vesta Odessa (Riddle) Hensley. Survived by loving wife Joann, children Christopher E. (Kim) Hensley and Cathie Cordell (Rob) Maple, daughter-in-law Suzy Laura Frey, grandchildren Samantha Maegan (Ian) Smith, Dakota John Maple and Ian Joseph Maple, great granddaughter Alice Haley Smith. Family will receive friends 3-6 pm Tuesday at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME WITH CREMATORY, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where a celebration of life service will follow at 6 pm with Rev. Christopher Adams officiating.
