Eleanor Louise Chil’-cote’ of Dublin, OH, died Sunday, February 11, 2007. She was preceded in death by her parents Mildred E. and Raymond F. Lanthorne. Mrs. Chil’-cote’ is survived by her husband and wonderful friend Alan, daughters Vicki (Phil) Holland of Center Sandwich, NH, Monique (Tom) Francis of Hilliard, OH and Cheri Chil’-cote’ of Wimberly, TX, grandchildren Eric and Sean Holland, Lane and Ryan Francis, Katrina, Zachary, and Gregory Chil’-cote’, great grandchildren Savannah, Shakira, and Ayden. Eleanor was West Virginia’s first police woman with full police powers, employed by the city of Huntington, WV. Mrs. Chil’-cote’ attended Huntington, WV schools, graduating from Huntington East High School in 1943 where she was Miss Highlander. She was also queen of the C.T.D. Detachment at Marshall college in 1943. Mrs. Chil’cote’ was a member of First Alliance Church in Columbus, OH. Friends may call 6-8 pm Tuesday at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH. Funeral service will be held 11 am Wednesday at the First Alliance Church, 3750 W. Henderson Rd. Columbus, OH with Pastor David Noel officiating. Interment Union Cemetery.
