Elfrieda "Ann" Brandstaetter

Ann Brandstaetter, of Hilliard, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2023 at the age of 95. She was born on February 18, 1928, in Queens, New York to the late Anna and Fred Staudenmaier.

Ann pursued her passion for nursing, receiving her nursing degree from Johns Hopkins University, bachelor’s from Penn State University, and master’s degree from Case Western Reserve University. Her love of nursing and caring for members of her community was evident throughout her long life and was a legacy she passed on to members of her family. In her retirement, Ann enjoyed spending time in Wrightsville Beach with husband John and their family and friends.  She also enjoyed art, shopping and reading mystery novels.

She is survived by her daughter Lisa Kelch (Richard), son John Brandstaetter (Joan), grandchildren Emily, Matthew, Jackson, and Henry, and granddog Winston J. Pug.

She was preceded in death by her faithful and loving husband of 48 years, John.

The family laid Ann to rest in an intimate graveside ceremony at Wesley Chapel Cemetery, celebrating her life and remembering the joy she brought to those around her.
