Ellen Paige Clarke, was born in Columbus, Ohio at 10 a.m. on January 4, 1991. She is a graduate of Hilliard Davidson High School, and on May 10, 2015 she became a graduate of The Ohio State University, earning a Bachelor's in Education. She was the second and youngest child of Bill Clarke and Lori Sanford, the stepdaughter of Kathie Bledsoe and Nelson Sanford, the stepsister of Ryne Sanford, and the little sister of Molly Clarke, in whose voice this is written. The strangest and hardest parts of life are usually those that aren't fully knowable; difficult questions that can't be answered, information that can't be found, perspectives that can't be heard. But this is the beautiful part of life; it's what makes life so special, so wonderful. It is in the wonder of life that the soul lives and that the heart beats. Wonder makes life worth it, I think. Ellen was so beautiful and so wonderful, and in that everyone is in agreement. Her life well-lived, and it was so full; please be careful to hear that. Her life was full, her time living it was not. It was full of friends, hobbies, homework, concerts, jobs. She was in high demand by almost everyone because her heart was so full. She was the one everyone was always most excited to see, and the one whose absence was always the most felt. That's the hard part - the absence - and now it's not because she's stuck working or at the park with Waylon, her dog, it's because she's in heaven with all of our family and friends that have passed. You know, as hard and sad as it is seeing her go, can you imagine the excitement and joy with which she was welcomed in heaven? It had to be unbelievable. My favorite part about Ellen, and the part of her that I couldn't ever understand, was that she never seemed to run out of love and care for others. Because of this, people couldn't seem to run out of love and care for her, too. She gave her whole self and invested her whole heart, and for that I, my family, and her friends are forever thankful and forever lucky. Where you invest your love, you invest your life.Calling hours are on Saturday, June 13, from 2-4 p.m., and service at 4 p.m. at Jerome Methodist Church, 10532 Jerome Rd., Plain City with a reception to follow.
