Ellyn White

Ellyn J. (Fox) White, age 77, of Columbus, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 13, 2008 at Doctor's Hospital West. A 1949 graduate of Bexley High School, she attended The Ohio State University. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother she was also an avid golfer, and member of The Hilliard United Methodist Church and Columbus Women's Club. She was preceded in death by her parents Simon and Ella Fox. Survived by loving and devoted husband of 57 years, William White; daughters, Pam (Jeff) Hoover, Terri (Gary) Jones, Traci (Karsten) Poole; son, William (Kris) White, Jr.; grandchildren, Mike (Julia) and Brian (Missy) Hoover, Beth (Ryan) Puckett, Brant, Drew (Candis), Tanner and Corbin Jones, Alex and Tommy Poole and Matthew and Lauren White; great granddaughters, Ana, Olivia and Reese Hoover; brother, Charles (Helen) Fox of CT; numerous nieces and a host of friends. She will be sadly missed by her loving family. Special thanks to the caring staff at Doctor's Hospital, HomeReach Hospice, Anne Bare and Chaplain Steve C. Race. The family will receive friends Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at THE TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026, where a funeral service will take place on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor David Ziegel officiating.
