Elsie Jane Wright

Elsie Jane "E.J." Wright, age 92, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Friendship Village of Dublin. Born September 18, 1924 in Buffalo, NY. Attended Columbia University and Syracuse University as an undergraduate, and completed her Master's in Speech and Drama at Northwestern University. She worked in radio broadcasting for the Buffalo Broadcasting Co. in NY and later for WNMP in Evanston, IL. Also served as a German Language Teacher in Woodstown, NJ for 15 years (1970-1985). Longtime member of Asbury United Methodist Church and the Women's Club, both of Woodstown, NJ. Wintered in Briny Breezes, FL, where she enjoyed singing in the church choir and announcing on the community TV station. Preceded in death by parents Jacob Wuorimaa and Elsie Aurora Pfeil, grandson James Perry Wright. Survived by husband of 67 years, Stuart R. Wright; children, Stuart J. (Helene Muller-Landau) Wright, Kathryn (Alan) Hoover, and James R. (Anna Rice-Wright) Wright; grandchildren, Adam and Jesse Wright, Isaac and Eric Wright-Muller, Meredith (James) Yonushonis, Christopher (Christine) Hoover, Kelsey (Kevin) Kula, Erin Jane Wright; great grandchildren, Clare, James, Mary Kate, Adeline, and Lylah. Friends may call Wednesday, February 1, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St. in Hilliard, OH where funeral service will be Thursday, 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Jerome Township Cemetery in Union County, OH
