Elva Smith

Elva “Smitty” Smith, age 82, of Hilliard, passed away July 30, 2015. He was a graduate of Zanesville High School and served in the US Air Force as a Pilot flying KC97’s. Elva did his undergraduate studies at Ohio University in Mechanical Engineering and post graduate studies at The Ohio State University Law School. He retired from National City Bank as an attorney in the legal department and was a member of the Hilliard Senior Center. Survived by loving wife of 62 years Carol, daughter Stacey (Jack) Radich, sister Donna (Glen) Clayton of Zanesville, grandchildren Adam Radich and Wendy (Roger) Carper, great grandchildren Hillary, Jeremy and Tyler. Family will receive friends 2-4 & 6-8 pm Monday at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where funeral service will be held 10 am Tuesday. Interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
