Elza Gibson

Elza “Hoot” Gibson, age 79, of Hilliard, passed away at home surrounded by his family Monday, November 24, 2008. Member of Hilliard United Methodist Church. Retired claims Manager for Indiana Insurance Co. with 25 years service. Served 12 years with the Indiana State Highway Patrol. He was a member of Hilliard Moose 2236 where he was past Governor and Administrator and member of the Ritual Team and a Pilgrim. A member of sons of American Legion and 32nd Degree Mason with 50 year pin Branchville, IN. Preceded in death by parents Jess and Orpha Gibson. Survived by loving wife Thelma of 61 years, children Dennis G (Carol) Gibson of Warren and Steve (Betty) Gibson of West Jefferson, grandchildren Kim (Jon) Allison of Hilliard, Steven (Thea) Gibson of Galloway, Jacquie Gibson of Warren, Angela (David) Jester of West Jefferson, great grandchildren Jessica, Brad, Ben, Antonio, Alexandria, Kate, Austin, his little dog Mandy and many other relatives and friends. Friends may call 5-8 pm Tuesday at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard; where the funeral service will be held 12 pm Wednesday with visitation two hours prior to the time of service. Interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery. A Pilgrim service will be held 7:30 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
