Emily J. Samson

Emily J. Samson, age 79, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer and kidney disease while at home on Saturday, January 27, 2018. A native of Claysville, PA, she went to nursing school in Pittsburgh and worked as a nurse for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents Carson and Carrie Blayney, her in-laws Clifton and Dorothy Samson and her beloved peek-a-poo Sandy. Emily is survived by her husband of 52 years John W. Samson, her daughter and son-in-law Sarah and Shawn McLane of Hilliard, her grandchildren Jessica Emily Ellis and Nathan Matthew Ellis, her sister Joan of Phoenix, AZ, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Emily was a long-time member of St. John Lutheran Church and a member of the Hilliard Seniors Bowling League. JOHN LUTHERAN CHURCH, 6135 Rings Road, Dublin, OH 43016 where her Funeral Service will follow the visitation and begin at 10:00a.m. SATURDAY with Pastor Adam Steinbrenner, officiating.
