Eric John Hopkins

Eric J. Hopkins, age 43, passed away January 7, 2014. Eric was a loving son, husband and father. Eric was at home with his family when he passed. We know he is with our Lord, as a healthy young man, in his baseball uniform, ready to play. He Graduated from Bradley Bourbonnais Community High School in Bourbonnais, Illinois and is a graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1993 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering; while playing baseball for MIT. He was a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity. Eric worked for the Ford Motor Company in Livonia, MI and recently worked at Caterpillar in Summerville, SC. Survived by loving wife Sandi Hopkins, son and daughter Jared and Rachel Hopkins of Hilliard, OH, parents Dr. Dennis P. and Gwen Hopkins of Bourbonnais, IL, grandmother Donna Winkel of Indianapolis, IN, in-laws Tony and Mary Ellen Kremer of Celina, OH, Rob and Andrea (Kremer) Beeson of Hilliard, OH and Brian and Robin (Kremer) Ripley of Denver, CO, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. The Hopkins will receive family and friends Monday 12-2 pm at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME WITH CREMATORY, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where a memorial service will follow at 2 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for Jared and Rachel’s college funds.
