Eric Jeffrey Platt

On February 27, 2019, Eric Jeffrey Platt; son, brother, friend, passed away at the age of 30 after a short battle with brain cancer. Eric will lovingly be remembered by his parents Dean Platt and Diana Platt, his sister Beth Mager (Kirk), stepmother Nancy Platt, stepfather John Smeltzly, grandmother Winona Armstrong, grandfather Dean Platt, step-siblings Mike Bryant (Jenny), Tracy Swinehart (Matt), Angela Hughes (Pete), Amber Richardson (Dane), and best friends Gunther, Ethan, Prince and Jack.  Eric was preceded in death by his grandmother Anna Platt and grandfather Charles Armstrong. 

Eric was a graduate of Hilliard Davidson High School and Hocking Tech. He worked as a service advisor at Twins Buick GMC.

Eric was happiest when he was enjoying the great outdoors either hiking, attending music festivals or playing Frisbee golf.  He loved spending time with people and everyone who knew him, loved him and for good reason.  He never missed an opportunity to share a smile or lend a hand.  Through his actions, Eric reminded us everyday to be accepting, grateful and humble, but most of all kind. 

Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life this SUNDAY, MARCH 3, 2019 from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 pm at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, OH 43026.
