Esther Grace Marsh, age 94, of Hilliard, Ohio, passed away at home on May 25, 2011. She was born August 15, 1916 in Union County to Okey and Grace (Brooks) Dillon. A longtime resident of Hilliard, she received her Bachelors and Masters degrees from The Ohio State University and taught elementary school and art education for over 30 years. She was a Past President of the Colonial Dames of the 17th Century, a former member of the Ann Simpson Davis Chapter of the DAR, and a lifetime member of the Northwest Franklin County Historical Society. She was the co-author of “The Blue and White, 1888-1994: A History Of Hilliard High School.” She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Richard (Dick) Marsh and her son, Lyn Edward Marsh. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Beth Marsh, her grandchildren, Elaine, Karen, Kelly (Bill Maffit), Dean, Kori and Brian, six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Friends may call at The Tidd Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, Ohio, on Friday, May 27 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. Services to be held on Saturday, May 28 at 11:00 AM, followed by interment at Broadway Cemetery, Union County. In lieu of flowers, friends may choose to make a donation to the Northwest Franklin County Historical Society.
