Esther Louise Van Fossen

Esther Louise Van Fossen passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023.  She was born on September 7, 1932, in Union Furnace, Ohio to the late William Herbert and Velva Lash.

Louise is survived by, son, George Van Fossen, daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy Van Fossen and Doug Lowery, Teresa and Brian Feldmeyer, grandchildren Joe Van Fossen, Grace Van Fossen, Korinne Smith (Tom), April Kitchen, Dan Feldmeyer, Jake Feldmeyer (Alex), Rachel Titlow (Cameron), Brooke Feldmeyer, great-grandchildren Kolton Smith, Drew Feldmeyer, Jamie Feldmeyer, sister Patty Lash, Mia her dog- best friend and constant companion.

She was preceded in death by her husband George Van Fossen, Andy Kitchen, grandson and her sister Bea Brandon Stallsmith.

Louise had a long and love filled life.  She enjoyed a successful career in banking.  During that time, she raised her family with her husband George and enjoyed many friendships and activities in Hilliard, Ohio.  Along the way they opened a boarding stable and enjoyed 20 years of horses and horse friends.  Her hobbies were horses, knitting, sewing, quilting, card club and anything to do with getting together with family and friends.  She loved to travel and go on RV adventures with her husband and close friends.  Louise had a deep love for her hometown Logan, Ohio and all of her relatives there.

Calling hours will be 5-7pm on Thursday, August 10, at Tidd Funeral Home in Hilliard, Ohio.

There will be a graveside celebration of her life at Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan, Ohio.
