Eugene Shrum

Eugene Raymond Shrum, age 90, of Columbus, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 16, 2012 at Mt. Carmel West surrounded by his loving family. He was a U.S. Army Sgt. during WWII, retired from Columbia Gas, and member of Linden Lodge F. & A.M # 637. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Ruth; sisters, Violet Morton and Jesse Bradley. Survived by son, Jack (Sharon) Shrum; daughter, Judy (Kimm) Reber; siblings, Goldie Johnson of Alaska, Fern Phillips of FL, and Pearl “Jon” Shrum Jr. of N.C.; grandchildren, Amanda (Travis) Parker, Andrew (Sara) Shrum, and Chad (Jennifer) Reber; great-grandchildren, Colton, Addison, Rylee, Sydney, Delaney, Kaitlyn, Madison, Ryan, Jack, and Olivia. Friends may call from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM Thursday at THE TIDD FUNERAL HOME 5265 Norwich St. Hilliard, OH 43026 where a masonic service will take place at 7:30 PM. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Friday at the funeral home. Interment Alton Cemetery.
