Eugene Strack

Eugene L. Strack, age 83, of Hilliard, formerly of Cincinnati, passed away Friday, October 7, 2011. He was the founder and owner of Strack Scale Service in Cincinnati. Member of Full Gospel Businessmen’s Fellowship, member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church and long-time attendee of St. Ignatius in Cincinnati. He spent time crafting Rosaries and was known as “The Rosary Man”. He enjoyed collecting guns and playing cards, but his family remembers his love of practical jokes. Preceded in death by sisters, Rosemarie Raab and Janet McRae. Survived by loving wife of 61 years, Betty Strack; daughter, Susan (Larry) Dammann; granddaughters, Laura (Chris) Flickinger and Jill (Shaun) Evans; great grandson, Chace; brothers, Richard and Ronald Strack; along with nieces, nephews, loving relatives, and friends. He is also survived by Chris Geers, the present owner of Strack Scale Service, who has been very successful as his successor. Family will receive friends Tuesday from 5-7PM at THE TIDD FUNERAL HOME 5265 Norwich St. Hilliard, OH 43026. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11AM Wednesday at St. Cecilia Catholic Church 434 Norton Rd. Columbus, OH 43228 with visitation one hour prior to the time of Mass.
