Florence "Lucille" Stewart

Florence "Lucille" Stewart, age 88, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2015. Born June 14, 1927 in Pomeroy, OH to the late William and Mary Helen Ohlinger. A graduate of Central High School class of 1945. Retired from R.G. Barry. In her retirement, she was an avid "Court Watcher" through which she developed a close circle of friends and enjoyed traveling to the homes of family in Texas, Florida and Alaska where she closely followed the Iditarod dog sled race. She also enjoyed her outings to the slot machines, OSU basketball/football games and NASCAR. Also preceded in death by husband of 50 years, Omar Stewart; son, Donald Stewart; siblings, Roy Ohlinger, Dorothy Cherry and Mary Benson. Lucille leaves to cherish her memory her children, James Stewart, David (Vickey) Stewart, Janet (David) Sperbeck and John (Gail) Stewart; daughter-in-law, Carol Stewart; grandchildren, Max (Deanna), Paige, Ben, Amy, Aaron (Kelly), Nicole (Chad), Laurajane, Leanne (Jason), Amber, Alisha, and Jeff; great grandchildren, Mia, Genevieve, Riece and Rosalyn; sisters-in-law, Elenora Stewart and Ida Stewart; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends may call Wednesday, August 26, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St. in Hilliard, OH where funeral service will be Thursday, 10:30 a.m. Interment Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, OH. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions be made in Lucille's memory to the charity of your choice.
