Floyd D. Rheinscheld

Floyd D. Rheinscheld, age 87, of Mount Sterling, OH, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at his home surrounded by his children.  Born to the late William and Grace Rheinscheld, he was a graduate of Union Furnace High School, Class of 1950.  Floyd retired from the trucking industry.  He married the love of his life, Naomi Trigg on August 22, 1952.  Floyd was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church of Mt. Sterling.  He was also a Sunday school teacher at FUMC in his earlier years and a member of the Participators Class.  In addition to his parents William and Grace Rheinscheld, Floyd was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 66 years Naomi Rheinscheld, his brother Everett Rheinscheld and his sister Aretha Nash.  Floyd is survived by his children: Kathy (John) Haynes, Jim (Judy) Rheinscheld, Roger (Paulette) Rheinscheld, Darryl (Patty) Rheinscheld, Linda (Tom) Pryor, Doug (Karen) Rheinscheld and Mike (Amy) Rheinscheld; 19 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and special niece Beuhlah (Jerry) Tipton, and many other loving relative and friends.  The family would like to give thanks to The Visiting Angels of Grove City and Heartland Hospice of Circleville.  The family will receive friends from 2:00-5:00 p.m. SUNDAY, January 5, 2020, at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 West Main Street, Mt. Sterling, OH 43143 where his Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. MONDAY, JANUARY 6, 2020 with Reverend Dortha Ross, officiating.  Burial will follow the service at Pleasant Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to First United Methodist Church of Mt.
