Frank Carson

Frank Boyd Carson, age 82, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Born July 10, 1931 in Columbus, OH. Preceded in death by loving wife of 42 years, Mary Jane Carson (Murphy); parents, Walter and Rhoda Carson. Survived by children, Gary (Valerie) Carson, Diane (Stephen) Norris, Linda (Bill) Distelhorst and Rhonda (Paul) Najdowski; grandchildren, William Carson, Joseph Carver, Megan Hatfield, Ashlee Girard, Eric Hatfield, Nicole and Scott Distelhorst, and Jackson Holloway; 3 great grandchildren. Proud U.S. Army Veteran. Graduate of Franklin University with a 2-year degree. Served as Coach of the Grove City Girls Track Club. Retired after 40 years of service as a tool and die maker from General Motors, and was a proud member of UAW 969. Friends may call Monday, May 5, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St. in Hilliard, OH where funeral service will be held Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and will be missed forever.
