Frank M. Pizatella, Jr.

Frank Pizatella, Jr. passed away Saturday, June 5, 2021 at age 87.  Frank grew up in Watson, West Virginia.  He was a proud graduate of West Fairmont High School (1952) and Fairmont State College (1958) where he was a member of the first golf team to qualify for the National Tournament.  A Veteran of the United States Army, he served overseas in Okinawa, Japan.  After moving to Columbus, Ohio, Frank worked as a supervisor at The Western Electric Company and was best known for his exceptional talent in golf.  Frank played in three pro-ams of The Memorial Tournament and held many local course records including one at Blackhawk Golf Club.  Frank was also a proud member of Groveport Golf course (The Willows). He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Martha Pizatella; sister Grace Murray and brothers-in-law James Murray and Marvis Dodds. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Pizatella; his children, Catherine Franke (Christopher), Joseph Pizatella, and Tina Dozer (Tom Parrott); grandchildren, Annamarie Wiant (Andy), Angela Jerome (Benjamin), Seth Reymark Franke, Micaela Rodgers (Christian), Jonah Franke, Anthony Jevince (Noelle), Megan Reed (Daniel), and Shelbi Botti (Joseph); great-grandchildren, Jase, Wade, and Aria Wiant; Anthony and Oliver Jevince; and Grace and Maddox Reed; sister, Mary Lee Dodds; and several beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
