Freddie Duncan, age 91, of Hilliard, passed away on January 28, 2025. Freddie was a warm, outgoing person who never met a stranger. He had a passion for amateur radio (W8FDD), was an avid golfer and bowler, enjoyed coaching the Olentangy High School girls’ bowling team and was a Mason. A proud Korean War Veteran, Freddie contributed to the development of the space shuttle while working at Rockwell International and later retired from General Motors. He was also deeply involved in his church communities in Grove City and Hilliard.
Freddie was preceded in death by his parents, Mason and Nellie Duncan, and brothers Harold Duncan and Donald Duncan. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia (Pat) Duncan, children Vickie Duncan (Lorie Kollars), Jeffrey (Rita) Duncan, and Michael Duncan, grandchildren Kelly (Mickey) Lumbard, Christopher (Ivette) Duncan, Jennica (Gian-Luca) Storti, and Stephanie Duncan, and great-grandchildren Michael (Caitlin) Lumbard, Samantha (Austin Evins) Lumbard, Nicholas Lumbard, Donovan Lumbard, Zoe Duncan, Jane Duncan, Christopher Cade Duncan, Callen Duncan, Giovanni Storti, Domiziano Storti, Aliayah Duncan, Alonzo Duncan, Malik Duncan, and Aria Duncan. He also leaves behind great-great-grandchildren Brantley Lumbard, Waylon Evins, Mackenzie Lumbard, and Maverick Lumbard.
Family and friends are invited to Hilliard Church of Christ (4300 Avery Rd., Hilliard, OH 43026) on Monday, February 3, 2025, from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM for visitation. A funeral service will be held at the church on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM, followed by interment at Range Township Cemetery.
Freddie’s kindness, dedication, and unwavering love for his family and community will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew
