Freida Mae King, 95 went to her heavenly home Saturday, January 12, 2019, at Court House Manor. She was born in Washington Court House, July 10, 1923, to George and Irma Mae Lynch Fultz, who preceded her in death. She was a 1941 graduate of Washington High School.
On December 9, 1944, she married the love of her life, Harold O. King. He preceded her in death, October 26, 1994. Her marriage moved her to the farm in Madison Township, where she resided for over 70 years.
She was a dedicated member of the Madison Mills United Methodist Church where she served in many capacities, but especially as Sunday school teacher, and youth leader of the MYF. Her devotion to all she led and cared for left her with a lifetime of close and loving friends.
Her most invaluable gift was her letter writing. Countless neighbors, and friends, along with her family, knew of her love and compassion through her hundreds and hundreds of notes and letters.
She is survived by a daughter and wonderful son-in-law, Anne and RC Bonzo; and a son and dear daughter-in-law Wayne F and Emily King. Also, surviving are her loving grandchildren, Kyle and Beth King, Joseph, and Brenda Bonzo, Lesley and Scott Fry, and Pete and Emily Bonzo. Eight great-grandchildren, Alexandra Lee and lauralynne Mae King, AJ Bonzo, Isabella Taylor, Emily Avery, and Adalyn Nedra Fry, and Lincoln and Hudson Bonzo, completed her family. She is also survived by her dedicated sister and brother-in-law Mary Eleanor and Ron Brownlee; niece Claudia and Ron Coe; nephew Randy and Joanie Dodds; soul sister Rosanne Burris; and special friend and caregiver Juanita Massie.
Friends and family may call Thursday, January 17, 2019, from 4-7 P.M. at the Madison Mills United Methodist Church, 9100 Madison Road, Madison Mills. The service for Freida will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 18, at the church.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorial gifts to Ohio's Hospice of Fayette County, 222 N. Oakland Ave., Washington Court House, 43160; or Madison Mills United Methodist Church, 9100 Madison Road, Washington Court House, 43160, would honor her life.
