Gary Olin

Gary L. Olin, age 64, of Hilliard, went Home to be with the Lord on December 2, 2011. He was born in Indianapolis, IN on November 6, 1947 and moved to Ohio in 1998. He is a 1965 graduate of Broad Ripple High School (Indianapolis) and a 1969 (BS) and 1975 (MS) graduate of Purdue University. Past employment includes North Central High School (Indianapolis), IBM Corporation, Heritage Christian School (Indianapolis), and Cedarville University (Ohio). Preceded in death by father Merle and mother Doris (Arney). Survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Julie (Shearer); daughter Erika (Carl) Weise; son Nathan (Ivy) Olin; grandchildren Evan, Andrew, and Janae Weise; Bradlen and Kendrick Olin; brothers Steve (Trish) of Derwood, MD and Bob (Pam) of Indianapolis, IN; sister Rosalie (Don) Saurini of Thorntown, IN; several cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the doctors and staff at The Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital for their wonderful care and compassion during this time. Family will receive friends Monday from 4-7 PM at THE TIDD FUNERAL HOME 5265 Norwich St. Hilliard, OH 43026. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Tuesday at NORTHWEST BIBLE CHURCH 6639 Scioto Darby Rd. Hilliard, OH 43026 with Pastor Ken Harrell officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the time of services. Interment Sunset Cemetery.
