Gary Settelmeyer

Gary E. “Suds” Settelmeyer, age 72, of Hilliard, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2019. Member of St. Louis Parish Catholic Church, Toledo, OH. Proud graduate of Northwood High School Class of 1965; where he played sports and was still a devoted Ranger. Suds loved following the Detroit Red Wings, Lions and Tigers. He followed the Toledo Rockets and was an avid fan of The Ohio State University sports programs. He was very active in men’s softball with the all-star Grapevine team; and enjoyed playing golf and bowling. Preceded in death by parents Edward and Isabelle Settelmeyer, sister Barbara (Walter) Edgerly and aunt Jane Murphy. Survived by loving wife of 40 years Lori, daughters Michele (Jack) Coppess and Gretchen (Jeremy) Sigler, son Josef (Tracy) Settelmeyer, sister Sue (Wayne) Phillips, grandchildren Jordan and Quinn Coppess, Hannah and Kyle Sigler, Hilary and Melissa Settelmeyer, great grandchildren Sofia Wagner and James Settelmeyer, nieces and nephew Bonnie, Jennifer, Sara and Kevin, cousins Sharon Velliquette, Brenda Pahl, Jim (Linda) Velliquette, many special friends and best friend, companion and caregiver Bella. The family would like to express a special thank you to caregivers Shelly and Adrena for their loving care.
