Genevieve "Jenny" Rosen

Genevieve "Jenny" M. Rosen, age 95, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Columbus West Park Nursing Home. Born August 30,1922 in Columbus, Ohio. Jenny lived life to the fullest and never missed an opportunity to dance, whether it was with her loving spouse, Ronald, or with her square-dancing groups. She was always ready to put on her dancing shoes. In typical fashion Jenny tackled breast cancer head on at age 88 and defeated it. She was also the first female president of Kiwanis International. Jenny and Ronald traveled the world together adventuring in faraway places such as Egypt and Australia.  No matter the activity she was involved in, she made friends wherever she went.  Among the many activities she enjoyed were, painting, golfing, baking, bowling, and playing cards with friends. Jenny and Ronald enjoyed watching the Columbus Clippers together. They have been season ticket holders since the very beginning and rarely missed a game. Jenny was the Columbus Clippers #1 fan. Jenny was preceded in death by father, Fred Eisel, and mother and step father, Ellen and William Wilkins. Survived by devoted husband of 47 years, Ronald Rosen; daughters: Nancy (Ken) Villani and Melinda Dugan; grandchildren: Abigail (Adam) Benetka, Caleb (Jenny) Clemons, Vince Dugan, Veronica Dugan, Matthew Dugan, Karen (Robert) Donnelly and Kristen (Matthew) Lorenzetti; great grandchildren: Audrey Benetka, Logan Benetka, Olivia Benetka, Cole Clemons, Hazel Clemons, Kaitlyn Donnelly, Karly Donnelly, Lauren Donnelly, Anthony Lorenzetti, Christopher Lorenzetti; and many friends. Friends may call Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St. in Hilliard, OH, where memorial service will be held Sunday, October 8, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, family encourages memorial contributions to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
