George Richard Geyer, age 99, of Columbus, passed away at home Thursday, August 23, 2018. Member of St. James Lutheran Church and a WWII Veteran. Preceded in death by wife Maria Geyer, parents Godfrey and Caroline Geyer and brother Howard Geyer. Survived by daughter Kathleen (Gary) Layne and son Roger (Melody) Geyer, grandchildren Megan and Heather Geyer, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Family will receive friends 10- 11 am Monday at St. James Lutheran Church, 5660 Trabue Rd, Columbus, OH 43228; where funeral service will follow at 11 am. Interment Sunset Cemetery. A special thank you to nurses Jenn, Barbara, Elana and Joe. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice, St. James Lutheran Church or Humane Society.
