Georgina Hobbs

Georgina Hobbs, age 89, of Hilliard, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025. She was born on October 9, 1935, in Huddy, Kentucky, to the late Avilino and Rose Sequeira. 

Georgina moved to Hilliard in the 60s and worked as a hostess at several different local restaurants. One she retired at age 70, she enjoyed spending her time in the garden, cooking a good meal, shopping, and keeping her children in line. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Avilino and Rose Sequeira, husband, Leland Hobbs, siblings, Rose Freeman, Delores Henson, Clara Sequeira, Eleanor Oxendine, Avilino Jr. Sequeira, and Florence Sequeira, and her longtime companion, Harry R. McDermitt. 

Georgina is survived by her beloved children, Bonnie (John) Hanna, Cliff (Mary) Hobbs, and Ronnie Hobbs, her siblings, Jerome Sequeira and Geraldine Sequeira, grandchildren, Ryan Hobbs and Kate Hanna, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. 

She will be greatly missed by all who had the opportunity to know and love her.

The family invites friends and family for a visitation at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, Ohio, on Tuesday, March 4, beginning at 5:00PM and ending at 7:00PM. The funeral service will be held the following day, also at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, Ohio, on Wednesday, March 5, beginning at 11:00AM. Following the service we will be processing to Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
