Gerald A. (Doc) Lambert, 71 of Orient died Thursday, July 8, 2010 at his residence.
He was born Oct. 31, 1938 in Pickaway County (Darby Twp.).
Jerry retired from Teamsters Local 413 after 22 years; Thoroughbred racing since 1952; Moto Cross Racing for 8 years; and an avid fisherman.
Preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Iola (Redman) Lambert; first wife, Sally; and brother Paul.
He is survived by wife, Teryl Lambert; son, Ritchie Lambert; sister, Beverly Lambert; brother, Larry Lambert; grandchildren Kaitlyn & Barbara Lambert; very special and loving friends, Eleanor Madory, Donna & Steve Sullivan; faithful pet, Brutus.
A visitation will be held Monday, July 12, 2010 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 West Main St., Mt. Sterling from 10 until 12:00 Noon. In keeping with Jerry’s wishes, cremation will follow with burial of his cremains at a later date in Pleasant Cemetery.
Jerry’s family would like to thank Zangmeister Center and Mt. Carmel Hospice with special caregiver, Nurse Tom Sanders.
