Glen King

Glen King, age 74, of Plain City, passed away Monday, February 09, 2015. Glen was a husband, father, grandfather, dairy farmer and friend to everyone he knew. He graduated from Hilliard High School in 1958. Glen was in FHA and 4-H. He graduated from The Ohio State University in 1963 and was in the ROTC. He served in the National Guard from 1963 to 1969 and was a 1st Class Sergeant Level A’7. Glen served as President of the Franklin County Farm Bureau and was involved in numerous agriculture associations. He was a dairy farmer in Hilliard with his father and brother until 1994 and then moved to Plain City to continue farming. After retiring, he raised Jacob sheep and then took up an avid interest in chickens. Glen loved everything about Ohio State, National Parks, travel and history. Glen would avidly share stories about history and had a special knack for remembering dates and events. He had an infectious laugh; a kind generous heart and a way of making people feel special. Preceded in death by parents Robert and Helen King, aunts Grace Postal and Almeada King and uncle Raymond King. Survived by loving wife of 49 years Rayma King, children Laura (Jeff) Domanico, Joe King and Jennifer (Shannon) Still, brother and sister-in-law Dale and Jean King, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Don and June Williams, grandchildren Abby Domanico, Charlie and Helena Still, numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.. Family will receive friends Wednesday 5-8 pm at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME WITH CREMATORY, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH; where a celebration of life service will be 11 am Thursday.
