Gloria Jean "Gigi" Johnson

Gloria Jean “Gigi” Johnson, age 74, of Mt. Sterling, OH, was called home to the Lord on Wednesday, April 17, 2019.  Born in London, OH to the late Dottie and Bob Clifton, she was a graduate of Madison Plains High School, Class of 1963.  Gloria retired from the State of Ohio, BCI after 30+ years of service.  She was a member of Mt. Sterling Freewill Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her husband Kenny Johnson, brothers James Thomas Clifton and Robert Jay Clifton, sister Barbara Marie Hatfield, brother-in-law James Robert Ball, and sister-in-law Patricia Ann Clifton.  She is survived by her sister Carolyn Sue Ball of Washington Court House, OH, brother-in-law Roy Lee (June) Hatfield of London, sister-in-law Debbie Clifton of Derby, OH; her children: Bonita Jayne (Steve Drennen) Rivera of Columbus, OH, Thomas Wayne Church of Columbus, Nancy Lynn Church of Washington Court House and Barbara Sue (Julie Vargo) Church of Columbus; her grandchildren: James Lee Nathan Rivera, KatieJo MacKenzie Drennen, Jacobi Clifton Vargo, Thomas Austin Dean Vargo and Andrew Robert Kane Vargo, many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives, the extended Johnson Family, her many, many friends, her loving church family and her beloved canine companion Polly.  Funeral Services will be held 12:00 NOON TUESDAY, APRIL 23, 2019 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 West Main Street, Mt. Sterling, OH 43143 (740)-869-2777 where family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 11:00a.m. TUESDAY.  Burial will follow at Pleasant Cemetery, Mt.
