Gordon Lee McDaniels died peacefully December 23, 2017 in Columbus, OH at the age of 71. Gordon is survived by his wife Carolyn; children, Lisa, Gordon Keith, Matthew (Kim); sibling, Brian McDaniels; and grandchildren, Kiera (Zane), Gabrielle, Matthew, and Bradley. Gordon was born on May 28, 1946 in Columbus, OH to Leland and Betty McDaniels. He went on to enlist in the Army National Guard and served in the aviation section during the Vietnam era. He was a special deputy in the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshall Services serving as a court security officer. His first love was in car sales. He was associated with Clifton Motors in Columbus and Circleville for more than 30 years. He also enjoyed flying and was a remarkable pilot. If you ever met Gordon, you never forgot him. He knew someone everywhere he went and was quite the people person. Gordon influenced many throughout his life. Gordon was a generous, kind, honorable, witty, comedian of a man. Most importantly, he was a family man. He was a loving husband, brother, father, and grandfather and took great pride in sharing the accomplishments of his family amongst friends. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Northwest Chapel 6700 Rings Rd. Dublin, OH 43016 from 9:00 A.M.- 11:00 A.M. A celebration of life service will follow at 11:00 A.M. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Gordon’s life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The American Cancer Society. Arrangements are completed by Tidd Family Funeral Home.
