Harold Butt

Harold Richard Butt, age 79, of Hilliard, passed away Monday, July 27, 2009. Member of Hilliard United Methodist Church. Graduate of Linden McKinley Class of 1949. Former Hilliard City Council member, founder of Hilliard Colts baseball, Hilliard High School baseball coach for many years, member of Central District Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame and NWFL Hall of Fame. Founder of Central Ohio Amateur Baseball Federation, past president of the Hilliard Baseball Association and long time member of Hilliard High School football Chain Gang. Survived by loving wife of 57 years, Ruby, children Mike (Susan) Butt, Doug (Kim) Butt and Beckie (Fred) Woda, grandchildren Tim, Sean (Lisa), Kaycee and Kori Butt, Megan Woda, Zack and Lauren Butt, great grandchildren Christian and Caleb Butt and sister Tina Stefka. Family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where funeral service will be held 11 am Thursday with Danny Vanscoy officiating. Interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3380 Tremont Road, Columbus, OH 43221.
